Aura Beach Bodrum
Beach Club at Yalikavak Marina, closing the design of the perimeter of the small private beach that makes up the hotel, also designed by CMV, and now the Beach Club, both operated by Sunset Hospitality group.
The design follows the line already marked in the hotel, where the inspiration in the local culture and the Mediterranean sea merge with the contemporary language to create a language of its own, constantly playing with light and shadow, which give it a changing appearance throughout the day, especially with the sunset.
With a total surface area of 1,700 m², the beach club unfolds through a light, horizontal architecture that adapts to the gently sloping topography. Low volumes, terraced platforms, and open pergolas shape a sequence of interconnected outdoor spaces with a clear visual continuity towards the sea.
The central feature of the design is a 55-meter infinity pool facing the Aegean Sea. This element not only serves as the project’s visual and scenic axis but also as an architectural device that enhances the relationship between architecture, horizon, and visitor experience.
The choice of materials reinforces the dialogue with the landscape: local limestone, natural wood, microcement in neutral tones, and nautical fabrics compose a warm and coherent palette. This materiality adds texture and character to the whole without creating visual noise, privileging a sober and natural aesthetic.
From a technical standpoint, the project integrates high energy-efficiency solutions: lightweight galvanized steel structures, HVAC systems with heat recovery, zoned climate control, and full integration through a BMS. Natural ventilation has been optimized through passive strategies such as permeable roofs and cross-ventilation. The lighting scheme combines warm indirect light with adjustable systems, adapting to the different uses of the space throughout the day and night.
Aura Beach Club has been conceived not only as a coastal leisure destination but also as an architectural extension of the hotel’s formal and conceptual language. Both projects share the same vision: reinterpreting Mediterranean architectural tradition through a contemporary lens, integrating local elements such as lattice screens, patios, and terraces within an elegant and functional aesthetic framework.
